Burberry Prorsum SS11

I've been following the LFW and I've seen some great collections, but the one that stands out must be Burberry Prorsum. The venue was amazing, as was the music. I love how the Burberry shows always have the best music!
This season, the label's classic trench coat got a bit of a makeover. Instead of the basic khaki, the trench was updated with leather sleeves and neon belts. We got to see a lot of leather and shots of neon throughout the show. Mr. Bailey got inspired by Thomas Burberry's designs for England's first motorbike riders in the early 1900's. But to bring the designs to the 21st century he added studs, zippers, silver and the outcome was some skintight, super sexy outfits. The biker chick has never looked so good.
The only thing about the show that I can critisize are the shoes. Don't get me wrong, they were beautiful! But the floor was obviously quite slippery and you could see the models struggeling to stay upright in those killer heels. Unfortunately, the last model couldn't quite handle it and tripped. Maybe it's just me though, but I just didn't like that model overall.. her walk was terrible and it looked like she was really nervous. Poor girl. 
Anyway, the show was ah-mazing and I can watch it again and again and it never ceases to amaze me. Well done Christopher Bailey, you always get it right!

Ég er búin að vera að fylgjast með LFW og er búin að sjá nokkrar mjög flottar sýningar. En sú sem stendur upp úr verður að vera Burberry Prorsum. Staðurinn var geðveikur og tónlistin líka. Elska hvað tónlistin er alltaf góð í sýningunum hjá Burberry!
Í ár fékk hinn klassíski trench frakki merkisins smá make over. Í staðinn fyrir venjulega khaki efnið, fékk frakkinn leður ermar og neon litað belti.  Við fengum svo að sjá mikið af leðri og neon litum í gegnum sýninguna. Herra Bailey fékk innblástur frá fötunum sem Thomas Burberry hannaði fyrir fyrstu mótorhjóla kappa Englands við aldamótin 1900. En til að færa hönnunina inní 21.öldina bætti Bailey við studs, rennilásum og silfri þannig að útkoman voru mjög þröng en súper sexy föt. Biker gellan hefur aldrei litið jafn vel út!
Það eina sem ég get sett út á í þessari sýningu eru skórnir. Ekki misskilja mig, þeir voru mjög fallegir! En gólfið var greinilega frekar sleipt og maður sá að módelin áttu mjög erfitt með að halda sér uppi á þessum rosa hælum. Því miður var það of erfitt fyrir síðasta módelið og hún datt. Kannski er það bara ég samt, en mér fannst hún standa sig mjög illa yfir höfuð... göngulagið hennar var hræðilegt og hún leit út fyrir að vera mjög stressuð. Greyið stelpan.
Allavega, þá var sýningin æðisleg og ég gæti horft á hana aftur og aftur! Vel gert Christopher Bailey, þú stendur alltaf fyrir þínu!
