It's been sooo hot here the past few days! Today I finally had a day off so I went to the gym and to the swimming pool and did some tanning in the sun. So now I'm burned and I've got sore muscles haha (y)! But it was lovely, I love those hot summer days.
Because of the heat I just pulled on something light and comfortable. A couple of days ago I got the chance to go through my late grandmother's jewelry box where I found some real treasures. I found these gold watches, a necklace with a gold clock charm and another necklace with a big cross pendant. My granny was one stylish lady! I'll show you the rest later.
Anyway, I'm off to do some studying! Hope everyone had a nice day :)
Það er svoooo heitt! Ég var loksins í fríi í dag svo ég notaði tækifærið og fór í ræktina og sund og tanaði í sólinni. Svo núna er ég brennd og með harðsperrur haha (y)! En það var æði, elska þessa heitu sumardaga. Ég fór bara í e-ð létt og þægilegt út af hitanum. Fyrir nokkrum dögum þá fékk ég að fara í gegnum skartgripi ömmu minnar heitinnar þar sem ég fann algjörlega fjársjóði. Ég fann þessi gull armbönd, hálsmen með lítilli klukku á og annað sítt hálsmen með stórum krossi. Amma var sko algjör gella! :) Ég sýni ykkur hitt seinna. Anyway, er farin að læra! Vona að allir hafi átt góðan dag :)
My sister is coming home for a visit next week, so I asked her to buy a few things for me at Gina Tricot because we don't have it over here. Just a few basic things, something comfy for school you know.
Then my best friend will be going to London next weekend and she's gonna do some shopping for me at Primark! Can't wait to see what she brings back!
Systir mín er að koma heim frá Danmörku í næstu viku, svo ég bað hana um að versla aðeins fyrir mig í Gina Tricot. Bara nokkra basic hluti, þægilega fyrir skólann í haust.

I love Scandinavian style. Particularly Swedish style. Those Swedish fashionistas are just so amazing and chic. One of my favourite is Victoria Törnegren. I'm totally obsessed with her style (and her apartment, I want it!). These pictures say it all.

Hvenær fékkstu áhuga á tísku? - Hef alltaf verið obsessed af fötum, alltaf pælt í hverju ég er og alltaf verið öðruvísi en aðrir. En ég fékk alveg áhuga á tísku þegar ég var í 1. eða 2. bekk í menntó.
Hvernig myndiru lýsa stílnum þínum?
- Vá ég hef oft reynt að útskýra hann en það er mun erfiðara en ég hélt. Ég klæði mig alltaf eftir því í hvernig skapi ég er og hvernig mig langar að vera þann dag. Rock,chic,punk,posh,arty,vintage glamour girl myndi lýsa mér best. En það lýsir í raun engu hehe. Áttu þér einhverjar tískufyrirmyndir?
- Engin ein sérstök en mér finnst Rumi Neely, Jen Brill, Svala Björgvins, Lady Gaga, Olsen Twins og fleiri sjúklega flottar.
Af hverju ákvaðstu að byrja að blogga? - Var alltaf að skoða blogg og fannst þau mega skemmtileg og mig langaði bara að prófa sjálf og sé alls ekki eftir því.
Hver er uppáhalds flíkin þín?
- úúúúffffffffffffff... alltof margar. Hermannagrænn jakki með skinni sem ég keypti í rauða krossinum eru ein bestu kaup sem ég hef gert, nota hann endalaust, elska líka Dolce and Gabbana jakkann minn sem ég fékk í kolaportinu á 2000 kall, og Levi's stuttbuxurnar mínar sem ég er nýbúin að fá, og faux leðurbuxurnar mínar sem ég nota endalaust, og kögur-leðurtaskan mín sem er 70 ára gömul keypt á markaði í Marakkó,hatturinn minn og h&m skórnir mínir sem eru endalaust flottir og þæginlegir. Ok vá. Gat ekki valið eitt. Elska fötin min of mikið til að gera upp á milli.
Hvaða flík myndiru aldrei klæðast?
- Aldrei að segja aldrei segi ég bara. Hef oft sagt þetta og endað í svoleiðis fötum.
Ef að þú gætir keypt þér einn hlut, sama hvað hann kostar, hvað myndiru kaupa? - Alexander McQueen bjöllukjólinn sem Björk var í í Who is it myndbandinu. Myndi hafa heilt herbergi heima hjá mér bara fyrir hann.

When did you get interested in fashion?
- I‘ve always been obsessed with clothes, always thought a lot about what I wear and always been different to everyone else. But I got really into fashion in my first year of college.
How would you describe your style?
- Wow I‘ve tried to describe it but it‘s a lot harder than I thought. I always dress by how I‘m feeling and what I‘d like to wear that day. Rock, chic, punk, posh, arty, vintage glamour girl best describe me. Although that doesn‘t really describe it hehe.
Who‘s your favourite fashion icons?
- No one in particular but I think that Rumi Neely, Jen Brill, Svala Björgvins, Lady Gaga , the Olsen twins and more are amazing.
Why did you start blogging?
- I was always looking at other blogs and thought they were really fun and I wanted to try it out for myself and I don‘t regret that at all.
Where do you shop the most?
- Kolaportið flea market, the Salvation Army, the Red Cross, Zara and abroad.
What‘s your favourite garment?
- Wow.. way too many. An army green skin jacket that I bought at the Red Cross is one of the best buys I‘ve ever made, I wear it all the time. I also love my Dolce and Gabbana jacket that I got at Kolaportið flea market for 2000kr and my Levi‘s shorts that I just bought. My faux leather pants which I use a lot, my fringe leather bag whish is like 70 years old and bought at a market in Morocco. My hat and H&M shoes which are so cool and comfy. Ok wow. Couldn‘t pick just one. I love my clothes too much to be able to decide.
What garment would you never wear?
- I say, never say never. I‘ve said before that I wouldn‘t wear something which I then ended up wearing.
If you could buy one thing, no matter how much it‘d cost, what would you buy?
- The Alexander McQueen bell dress that Björk wore in the Who is it video. It would have it‘s own room at my house.
Give us one fashion advice:
- Follow fashion but stay true to yourself! (Sounds very cliché but it‘s true!)
Today was the launch of a new icelandic clothing label called Shadow Creatures. It's created by sisters Gunnhildur Edda Guðmundsdóttir og Sólveig Ragna Guðmundsdóttir. This is how they describe their collection:
'Shadow Creatures is a new Icelandic clothing label for progressive young people that can think for themselves. We are all about luxury, comfort and indulgence. Darkness, tenderness and mystery. Let yourself get carried away. Follow us into the dark...'
I got an invitation to the event but unfortunately I couldn't make it. The collection looks really promising though and I can't wait for it to hit the stores.
Í dag var launchað nýrri íslenskri fatahönnunarlínu sem kallast Shadow Creatures. Hún er stofnuð af systrunum Gunnhildi Eddu og Sólveigu Rögnu Guðmundsdætrum. Þær lýsa línunni sinni svona:
