Shadow Creatures

Today was the launch of a new icelandic clothing label called Shadow Creatures. It's created by sisters Gunnhildur Edda Guðmundsdóttir og Sólveig Ragna Guðmundsdóttir. This is how they describe their collection:

'Shadow Creatures is a new Icelandic clothing label for progressive young people that can think for themselves. We are all about luxury, comfort and indulgence. Darkness, tenderness and mystery. Let yourself get carried away. Follow us into the dark...'

I got an invitation to the event but unfortunately I couldn't make it. The collection looks really promising though and I can't wait for it to hit the stores.

Í dag var launchað nýrri íslenskri fatahönnunarlínu sem kallast Shadow Creatures. Hún er stofnuð af systrunum Gunnhildi Eddu og Sólveigu Rögnu Guðmundsdætrum. Þær lýsa línunni sinni svona:

Ég fékk boð í opnunarpartýið en komst því miður ekki. Línan lítur þó mjög efnilega út og ég hlakka mikið til að hún komi í búðir.

Haven't posted pics of my purchases in a while now so sorry for the load of pictures! I finally recieved the H&M and Monki jackets the other day and I LOVE them! Got the Monki one on sale, 75% off! Love the color.
But I promised to tell you my big news! In about 6 months I'm gonna make my dream come true and move to Paris! Yes, Paris! I'll be joining this work and travel programme, so I'll get 2 weeks of language courses and then I'm off to work in the city of lights. You don't know how excited I am, I've been dreaming about moving there since I visited Paris in 2008.. and now the dream is coming true! I can't wait :)
Anyway, I'm gonna keep it short this time. Only got 4 hours of sleep last night so I'll be going to bed early. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Ég hef ekki birt myndir af nýjustu innkaupunum mínum lengi svo þið afsakið hvað það eru margar myndir! Ég fékk loksins nýju H&M og Monki jakkana í hendurnar og ég ELSKA þá. Ég fékk Monki jakkann á útsölu með 75% afslætti! Elska litinn á honum. En ég lofaði að segja ykkur frá æðislegu fréttunum mínum! Eftir ca. 6 mánuði mun ég láta drauminn rætast og flytja til Parísar! Já, Parísar! Ég ætla að fara í gegnum Nínukot í svona work and travel prógramm, svo ég fæ 2 vikna tungumála kennslu og svo mun ég bara fara að vinna í borg ljósanna. Þið vitið ekki hversu spennt ég er, mér hefur dreymt um að flytja þarna síðan ég fór til Parísar árið 2008.. og núna er draumurinn að rætast! Ég get ekki beðið :) Anyway, ætla að hafa þetta stutt núna. Svaf í rétt 4 tíma í nótt svo það er bara snemma í rúmið fyrir mig í kvöld. Vona að allir hafi átt góða helgi! xx

I'm still alive!

Wow I haven't posted here in ages! I've just been really busy and to tell the truth, I've been feeling really uninspired.. what's up with that? :/ I even thought about quit blogging! But I think I've got my groove back and I can't wait to show you some of my recent purchases :)
So what is it that has kept me so busy lately? Well besides work, I've been hanging with my friends a lot and last weekend I went on a roadtrip with some of my best friends. It was ah-mazing! We took 4 days just driving around the country, stopping in various places, partying like mad and having the time of our lives! This summer is definitely turning out to be the best one yet!






































































































































I've also got some amazing news for your guys. My dream seems to be finally coming true!

Paris menswear fashion week

Nú er tískuvikunni í París lokið og mikið af ótrúlega flottum línum hafa komið fram. Ætla aðeins að fjalla um uppáhalds línurnar mínar.

The Paris fashion week has come to a close and some great collections were revealed. So I'd like to cover some of my favourite collections.

Givenchy:

Hjá Givenchy mátti sjá hlébarðamunstur við svart og hvítt, fáguð jakkaföt, bolir undir skyrtum og pífur á krögunum, sem myndaði Viktoríu tímabils fýling. Eitt módelið bar grímu sem hefur verið mjög umtöluð í tískuheiminum eftir sýninguna. Hvað finnst ykkur?

At Givenchy we could see leopard prints mixed with black and white, sleek suits, layering of t-shirts beneath shirts and ruffled collars which reminded us of the Victorian era. One of the models also wore a mask which has raised some voices in the fashion world after the show. What do you think?
